You're absolutely right and I apologise to cosmicforce who is one with the great spirt and who soars high like the great eagle and has an intellect like a jumping Buffalo.

It wasn't even very relevant because it was illustrative at best and he didn't appear to have read the post or its conclusion. AJ and I go way back to our interactions on Should God Be Replaced so this is probably some stale crumpet lodged somewhere. He gets like this - I attribute it to the metals he ingests up there in the Great White North while involved with mining. There is a reason they say "Mad as a hatter" because metal poisoning make you goofy.

But back to the point, I'm a utilitarian. It isn't good to have a big foot print because its an inefficient use of resources... My car probably gets better gas mileage than most people's, but guess what? I'm still burning oil and am thinking of even a better and MORE environmentally friendly vehicle. My family constantly whines about how low I set the thermostat. But, I cut the utility bill by half. I put timers on the kid's rooms to save electricity. They hate it, but guess what? The only lights that are consistently off when no one is in the room are the ones with the timers.

I'm not just saying this stuff, I live it.
