Asking gas station attendants is an iffy business these days. It worked in the 60's when working in a SERVICE station was actually an occupation and not simply an entry or exit point for the labor force. Remember when they wore uniforms and hats like police officers? You can trust your car to the man who wears the star... One will tend to get the same kind of authoritative response today as one would expect when asking "Where is Iraq?" and handing JQ Public a map of the world.
