"Some of the least innovative manufacturing techniques come from the most diverse society, ours.

Corporate group think is a similar phenomenon to what I described as a homogeneous trait. What we find in corporations is that groups come together to accomplish a task. When they are highly effective at accomplishing the task they want to stay together. Some times the desire to stay together over rides the desire to innovate and accomplish. So, what started out as something tremendously progressive, turns out to be something that boggs down. This has been a big problem in corporate America.

Politically this could also be compared to the left wing social movement of the 60's and 70's. It was a time where just about anything that could be thought of was a go. Ever see a left winger break ranks in the last decade??? no way.
