You can't take away their right to vote unless they're convicted of a felony. I don't know how they're being charged.

I infer that these perps are in their early 20's.
Taking away their freedom for several months will hurt plenty.
Fines are imposed in addition.
Plus restitution, I'm certain.

Look at what you're saying.
The poor should be incarcerated by losing their freedom
while those who can pay their way should have the money
substitute for loss of freedom.

I don't agree with that.
The Democrat party hacks themselves rail against that all the time.

I understand that your real concern is taxpayer cost of
incarceration, but sometimes we just have to do what's right.
