I'd like to cut-and-paste part of the article, but I left my mouse at the office and can't figure out how to cut-and-paste using a touchpad (with buttons).

My touchpad works just like a mouse. Hold down the left button while dragging on the pad to select. Right click to get the copy and paste options. I'm failing to recognize the problem, I guess. I remember once giving you a long explanation of how to get your SI window narrower that I assume was just as unintentionaly insulting, given that you never thanked me for it... <g>

Even the developers of BiDil admit that race is too crude of a way of getting at genetic variations, but they've been able to sell the patent office on the use of race as a way of extending their patents.

As long as the drug is effective as promised, I don't see the problem. I take Nexium. To me that seemed like a pretty contorted way to extend a patent. I assume that doctors can prescribe Bi and Dil separately if it costs less that way.
