I have several chronic ailments that require me to get various medical tests, some every 6 wks., some once a year, and I keep copies. Blood tests, x-rays, etc., etc., etc.

Just looked at a couple hundred pages of lab sheets and doctors notes, going back to 1996. My race has never been noted, and there is not even any place to note the race. There are spaces for sex, age, and date of birth, but no space for race.

Only one time has my race been requested, and that was for an epidemiology clinical trial at the University of Pittsburgh, for rheumatoid arthritis, which does have a genetic component (more common among Native Americans, for one example).
