Let me ask you this. If you have raised your kids through high school, would you kick them out of the house and cut them off at that point, if you could offord to send them on to college?

This analogy is not accurate.

A better analogy would be if you had killed your neighbor's evil parents, and then put your neighbor's surprised kids in the bad part of town surrounded by muggers and drug dealers, how long do you spend teaching your neighbor's now orphaned kids to fight off these muggers and drug dealers?

THAT's what's going on in Iraq, not some child development program.

And I've already said my suggestion, which is limit the coalition's presence to locations outside of major cities, preferably on borders near Iran and Syria, and spend the $ and time training local Iraqi security to kill the Iraqi insurgents. Then send the Iraqi security trainees to fight the Iraqi insurgents, if they want to. Using coalition forces to fight what is essentially an Iraqi guerilla war is a recipe for failure.
