We're not talking about cross-examination. We're talking about discovery Admissions in a civil suit.

Not true. On cross examination, one is entitled to ask for precise answers to questions like that.

And even in a criminal cross, the defense would object to such vaguely worded and overly broad questions, and I'll betcha they'd be sustained.
