That's what you and Suma say, but so far you have not been able to provide one shred of scientific evidence that proves that homosexuality is genetic.

Most scientists will tell you that no genetic link has been found. I'm not ruling it out that a link may be found at some point in the future. But for now, I put it down to the category of wishful thinking, sort of like the murderer before the jury who claims innocence due to his upbringing. It's a deflection of responsibility.


They have not proven that there is a gay gene or even a cluster of genes. However, everything I've ever heard suggests that gays do not consciously choose to be gay. Last year in my psych class, they showed interviews with gays. To a person, they all said they knew they were gay from their first remembered thought.......usually from 3 or 4 years old. Now its possible that in the first two years, something happened in their bonding with their parents that caused them to be gay. However, most psychologists do not think that's likely.

Even if it were true, its important to note that environmental causation is a far cry from what you first suggested which is that they choose to be gay.
