The Yahoo board was hysterical today, but in all the garbage there were a few ideas worth considering. Most obvious, of course, is that someone knows that the Phase III trials did not go well and dumped a large number of shares. The other side of this idea is that the Phase III trials did go well and someone simply walked the shares down to get a good price in advance of the news. Finally is normal insider selling to raise cash, but this is hard for me to believe. Normal insider selling is usually done carefully over time so as not to drive the price down. This was dumping not selling.
