Seeing movement in the Middle East is an art unto itself. The velocity of progress in that region is so slow as to require incredibly sensitive equipment that analyzes progress in terms of millionths of a percent progress over centuries. OK, just kidding.

I just do a lot of reading on the Middle East, it's history, and current events. Based on my readings, the best way to describe it is that the potential for positive change has never been higher. All the stars are aligning for progress in the Middle East, but change will still move at glacial speeds. So patience and steadfastness is required...not to mention the ability to deal with people who are talk double talk, promise the world one thing and do another, and feel that no agreement made with an infidel is long term binding.

Very difficult circumstance indeed.
