You are totally ignoring your bigger error - you said the US gov't "put him in power." You were off by 15 years and wrong about how he came to power as well, and your defense is "don't be picky"? That's just hilarious. BTW, that he might have been a CIA "asset" in the late 1950s doesn't even remotely make the case that "we put him in power" twenty years later. Even the wildest conspiracy nut on SI wouldn't make such a giant leap - at least not without some "theory" to bridge the twenty year gap.
