MARKET TALK: Dollar Falls On New G7 Speculation
1331 GMT [Dow Jones] The dollar is following up its Tuesday rally with a Wednesday selloff versus euro and yen, which comes on the back of stronger German Ifo report, drop in eurozone current account surplus, and a swing back toward speculation on China/G7 will offer some sort of progress, even if it's not a outright revaluation. The pound, meanwhile, has jumped higher on the back of BOE January minutes which are perceived to be hawkish. EUR/USD is at $1.3009 from $1.2974, USD/JPY at Y103.35 from Y104.13, USD/CHF at CHF1.1909 from CHF1.1939, and GBP/USD is at $1.8782 from $1.8640. (SDV)
