If their intent is genuinely reducing fraud, experience must be useful. But if their intent is actually spinning everyone in order to perpetrate their own kind of fraud, it's a great sheep outfit for a wolf to sport among the herd.

If someone is shown to be a chronic liar by his own words and the testimony of numerous associates from different walks of life, I'm not gonna buy what they are peddling. That's true in business, politics, whatever.

Some will buy it - that's their choice. Con men thrive on believers.

we seem to give more credence to so-called reformed transgressors than people who were able to find ways to not give into temptation in the first place.

There's a long history of doing just that.
