China is developing by exporting its way out of poverty. Europe developed exported high priced industrial output and importing cheaper inputs. US got rich because while Eruoepans were going to each others' throat they were producing. After Europeans stopped, they were no competition. European witnesing all this non-sense immigrated to the US and the US had the benefit of a high educated flow of immigrant. India, China Brazil will got rich by trading and by having huge internal markets. Which is one of the reasons for the scramble out of the grey areas.
