Looks like a cease fire in place in the middle east, meetings scheduled between abbas and sharon that will not be interrupted by a pizza bombing, israeli turnover of control to 4 WB towns, an israeli agreement to stop targeting terror leaders and the beginning of peaceful disengagement in Gaza. Much has been accomplished in one week. Abbas aint arafat and sharon aint sharon. And we spent two weeks debating whether zionism must be ended to have a just peace. Looks like the new pal answer to the Marcos desire is NO. It is easy for canadian intellecuals to solve the problems of the world, but it is hard for combatants to sit down and talk. mike
