1 of the things I've seen over the last year has been the proliferation of Sandisk Cards where there never used to be Sandisk cards. Several of my Photographer friends used to buy Lexar now they buy Sandisk. The Apple stores used to sell only Lexar cards now they sell Sandisk. If these patterns are spreading then it would seem to me that Sandisk should be worth something.

It also seems the revenues are rising. The outlook for this year is 2.1 billion which is huge. Guess in order for a stock to be worth anything these days they have to be loosing money or be sexy like an internet stock.

Go figure if I could pick a winner I wouldn't have to work for a living.

check your figures.....I believe they are off...a quick calculation for Q304 shows L&R as a % of total revenues as 10.5% ($42,921 / $407,954) not 8.8%.

Robert, licensing and royalties decline as a percentage...

...on the backdrop of escalating total revenues.

A more honest depiction would include total revenues over the same time period.

Yes, there is not a clear relationship between growing total flash market revenues (all suppliers)
and L & R for SanDisk. This is disappointing. It remains unclear if Samsung will license MLC
and whether or not competitors just entering the market will be required to purchase licenses.

Eli said that this company would never grow on the basis of L & R alone. The launch of multiple
new products and diversification into previously untapped markets (MP3, smart USB devices, handsets...)
will be the eventual determinants of success. We need to see the major handset players adopting
SD-based variants. This is a proprietary standard and a product which could set SNDK ahead of the pack.
