Peter, fwiw, a full service broker friend in Victoria just confirmed to me that while it is legal to naked short Canadian listed stocks, he also said I'd be hard pressed to find a firm in Canada that would actually do it. His will not, nor did he know offhand of any that would. Perhaps some of the smaller or more notorious outfits will, I don't know.
