"I believe I have proved my assertions"

About "all the support of the other dictators"? LOL. An assertion is not proven by repetition.

"I do not have time this afternoon to go out and write my own book on this subject--sorry."

In other words, you aren't interested in proving your assertions - just in making them. Fine. Just don't claim to have proven them when you haven't.

"You might also want to check out the excellent piece Frontline did on Hussein and his rise to power, which you can find on pbs.org. It also confirms what I have posted from other sources."

No one is disputing that the CIA was involved in the 1959 assassination attempt, of which Saddam was a part, or in the 1963 coup, of which he was not, or our support of him during the Iran-Iraq war. But none of that proves your assertion that "we put him in power". We didn't. He's a home grown despot.

"You can say that they are not true, but your words have no significance unless you can back them up with some sort of documentation."

LOL. If providing documentation were the rule here, your posting volume would certainly have to decline.

"This old crap about not being able to prove a negative is just that."

OK, how do you propose I prove, for example, the negative of your adopted assertion that the US supported Pol Pot?

As cosmic pointed out to me the other day, it is up to the person making an assertion to prove it. It is not for someone else to disprove them.

"You WISH none of this was accurate. I hear that."

You're hearing things. You might want to get that checked out.

"I believe I have proved my assertions,..."

Beliefs can be a strange thing especially for people like you who base them only on your self perception.

You have not proven your assertions, you have only clouded the issue (for your self). In the process you have dishonored only your self while betraying your fellow Americans with hateful and false allegations. Does this help some petty political agenda you hope to bolster ... or is it just part of your usual pathetic efforts to see yourself adorned with all the 'in' stuff? ... as much as you'd like to believe that to be true...
