Elroy, re: Fundamentalist Islamists today are similar to the KKK in the 1950's. They are very much a minority, are an embarrassment to the average Muslim, and they are significant only in areas where the normal way of life is threatened by powerful outside forces (Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel). However, the truth is that their are very nice, peace abiding Muslims just as their are violent ones. Get serious. 99.9% of Muslims are nice, peace abiding people. I live in a Muslim country. EVERYBODY is extremely kind. Well said! I agree with you. Your 99% figure may be a little high but otherwise, its right in line with what I've experienced. In fact, Muslims I have met here are more gentle/passive than the typical American. Its too bad people like MM believe otherwise.........if MM thinks that way, then the average redneck must think much worse. ted
