Pandemic Avian Flu gonna do it again?" First detected in humans in 1997. Personally, I don't think the flu epidemic of 1918 was coincidental to the war. As I read more of history I believe less of coincidence and more (of what is so well established)--the (seemingly) unlimited ability of humanity to be corrupt and cruel. There is a society that believes in the elimination of all humans for the greater good. Perhaps they are on the right path... We love sex and power, but so do weasels. All life is related genetically. So perhaps we should accept that every creature (including germs and weasels...our relatives) just want to live??? I know that metaphysics is a confusing topic. But I heard an amazing little quote last night from Serena Williams (who plays a great game of tennis)...I don't want to die wondering." So like the weasel, the bird, the e-coli...we must make the most of our life--which is mostly based on luck and happenstance. If it makes you feel better to turn your mind down about 31 million notches...it is your right (depending on where you live, of course)...then sleepy time and nappy-nap. There are THOUSANDS of religions for people who are afraid of life. Choose one. You will get a big funeral...
