Patterns of Deceit

We've heard all kinds of name-calling sent my way here since I dared agree with opinions of a federal prosecutor and a jury of our peers, both before and after some two dozen criminal convictions. That went further though, a United States Attorney has been called "dangerously obsessed," and a United States District Court, "kangaroo."

These methods are not new. After the 1999, bipartisan, day trading hearings held by the Permanent Committee on Investigations, Committee on Governmental Affairs, United States Congress, chaired by Senators Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Carl Levin (D-Michigan), where SEC Chairman the Honorable Arthur Levitt testified concerning suspected unlawful activity of brokers such as Philip Berber and investment advisory sites such as Trading Places, Berber responded right here on SI by imputing a hidden agenda (he would know one when he sees one), sinister motives to two United States Senators and the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. This remarkable public statement I have filed in federal court, along with plenty of others:

In short, such news and noise and developments is nothing new, needs always to be taken seriuosly, yet it is perhaps of equal importance to ask who might be driving these moves and developments and why

It seems that racketeers and their Enterprise friends have developed a common strategy going back quite a few years. On Monday, we did see how ultimately successful these methods do prove to be, when reviewed by our judiciary.
