The fun part is that there is no pressure on us when we play Duke Sunday. Just go down to Durham and have a good time. Be relaxed and play your best. If we lose so what ?

I went last night and the Cassell was rockin just like the old days of Dell Curry, Dale Solomon, Bimbo Coles etc. It was fun to see the spirit was still in the house. It had been lurking but in the shadows.

How about MD. beating Duke. I called them to win the ACC tournament this year. They can be brilliant and they can suck. Depends on which MD team shows up. Streaky at a minimum.

Tech brings something different to the table and to the ACC. Our players do not fit a mold. We lead the ACC in turnover margin. We fly to the ball. We are not massive in bulk or the wide body type player. We are quick...especially on defense. Can't shoot from 3 point range however we out shot UVA percentage wise last night from beyond the arc.

Seth has them patient on offense and making great decisions from FRosh and Sophs. Collins can out jump anyone on the floor. The freshman Washington had the poise coming down the stretch. Our scoring was balanced. We didn't go to the bench with our sole senior going all 40 minutes. We have to get some other people to contribute more.

It was a pleasure to see the Smith kid from UVA play last night. He will be NBA material and all ACC.

\take care...have a nice one....gregor

Last but not least , Todd Nolen commits to VT from the peninsula part of the state. As a wide receiver he will bolster a solid receiving corp returning next year.

Word on the street is that he may ( like 60/40 in his favor ) not make the grades minimally expected for his freshman year. That being the case he may be headed to prep school and we will see him for the 2006 season.

Some are saying with the likes of "Veeeeeck.....tor" Macho Harris from the Richmond area and the number one recruit in the state...this may be the best of all time recruiting class.
