I agree. Vietnam was deliberately lost by the Democrats because they realized that if the Republicans won the war, they would be politically finished. You see the same thing happening now and Nobody is calling them on it. They are desperate and do not care if what they say gives aid and comfort to the enemy. It was the same thing in Vietnam.
Wars are just as much a "Triumph of the Will" as victory by material means. It's how Hitler got so far with so little.
