tejek, no one is rejecting gays. For Christians, it says in the bible that sodomy is an abomination and that God forbids it in the strongest possible terms. I'm not saying it's a rational belief. I'm saying that this is what Christians believe, because the rock of their belief is the Bible and that is what the Bible says.

And what exactly does sodomy mean to you? Many straight Christians practice sodomy 24/7 and they don't even know it. In fact, there are more straight sodomites in this country than there are gays. I suspect everyone on this thread has practiced some form of sodomy. Its everywhere! LOL.

If you want to take the bible's guidance on most things, you will find yourself doing a lot of ridiculous and stupid things as well as experiencing a lot of sexual abstinence. Its okay by me......all the more for me!

The situation would be laughable if the poor fools who swear by the bible weren't so stupid and dangerous all at the same time. Its why I stay away from religious fundamentalists.....their brains are seriously warped from trying to follow the dictates of backwood ancients.

So if a Christian doesn't want a gay person to influence their kids, you can understand that. It's very similar to if I know someone who sleeps around with lots of women, does drugs and drinks alot. I may like the person and may even be nice to him. But I'll be darned, if I'll let him influence my kids. That is a no go area. When it comes to morals around my kids, I have the right to teach them what I think is right.

Its all a lot of horse puckey. Fundamentalists Christians are always looking for a fall guy.....it makes them feel superior. Admit it.....fundamentalist Christians are the only people in this country who believe hating someone gets them closer to God.

However, in my opinion, if a Christian's actions go so far as to be mean or treat a gay person any differently than they'd treat someone else, then I'd say that would be wrong. Taxing a gay person differently or discriminating against them in a job. That's wrong. Pretty cut and dried.

Well that's something.
