For Christians, it says in the bible that sodomy is an abomination and that God forbids it in the strongest possible terms. I'm not saying it's a rational belief. I'm saying that this is what Christians believe, because the rock of their belief is the Bible and that is what the Bible says. So if a Christian doesn't want a gay person to influence their kids, you can understand that. It's very similar to if I know someone who sleeps around with lots of women, does drugs and drinks alot. I may like the person and may even be nice to him. But I'll be darned, if I'll let him influence my kids. That is a no go area. When it comes to morals around my kids, I have the right to teach them what I think is right. However, in my opinion, if a Christian's actions go so far as to be mean or treat a gay person any differently than they'd treat someone else, then I'd say that would be wrong. Taxing a gay person differently or discriminating against them in a job. That's wrong. Pretty cut and dried.
