It used to be cheered by the AP playground following. Oh well. I think that's what I have found most distasteful here. There was an environment that the gurus could do no wrong and that every long was a patsy, ready to fall to greedy CEO's and touts. Of course, now we see, as many of us suspected, that it was all a ruse to create fear, such that the mere mention that a stock might be attacked by the crowd, became enough of a reason to get out and get out before the short attack. Of course, I'm not forgetting the $650-$1000 a month. However, I tried not to focus on that after getting reprimanded that this barely covered "expenses." LOL. No, don't get me wrong. There 's more than enough criminal CEO's, touts, and investors who are too lazy to do DD and I've often posted about it. However, the hypocrisy of a bunch of people defending the indefensible by saying, in essence, they weren't as bad as their targets, that anyone who disagreed should be attacked, in essence, created the monster that resulted in the conviction. As is typical in life, the only ones we have to blame for our problems are ourselves. All of us have things we wish to change. We can only go forward when we admit our mistakes and try, strike that, just do it LOL. I remember a certain poster chasing you around various boards, name calling and personal attacks. I'm not sure what you did to deserve it, but somehow you got on the bad side of the guru wannabees. There's one guy here who attacks me once in a while. He's barely literate and his posts are insignificant. I do a ton of DD and often buy stuff after it's tanked. I do it with my eyes open for a turn around and I post it as I see it. After one such attack, I checked his record and found that he blindly followed the guru and, now that he's gone, this guy is promoting pink sheet stuff, more hype than the worst hypes that are attacked here. Yet, because he defended blindly, he's welcomed back here with open arms. The followers should realize that they are not doing anyone any favors with irrational illogical defense of what is indefensible. It's wrong to extort, plain and simple. It's wrong to trade on information that is not public. All these silly posts pretending that, "geez, he didn't have a gun to the guys head when he gave him the certificate and then we all stopped shorting, etc." just strains and probably eliminates any credibility. I think the saddest thing of all is that all the good work that could be done in creating a fair environment to trade is lost in the creation and fostering of internet personalities. It's ego and greed and it shouldn't surprise me.
