But Kid, she's an expert in MO rednecks (how else would she know how well it captures them?), so presumably she's met one of them. Maybe he or she said the term didn't offend them. Maybe she thinks "redneck" is a term of endearment.

Perhaps the mick should have checked Wikipedia.

My grandmother was born and grew up in Missouri, and my brother lived there until really recently. He was at the movie with me, and it was his observation that I was passing along. Not everyone who lives in Missouri is a redneck. Those characters in the film definitely were. I was complimenting the film, not denigrating rednecks. Perhaps you should see the movie and see if you agree.
