A couple of dozens of smaller steel plants have been or will be shut down due to partially no enough iron ore and/or partially high cost or not enough energy/power.

Too much foreign investment going to China has been energy intensive and high pollution. The gov. should have put a better control on that. A whooping 74% of ALL energy in China are consumed by industries, and only 11% are consumed by residential. And now during the power shortage, everyone has to suffer.
