ISO - a strategy that you demonstrated works, indeed...

well expressed...

higher than normal cash allocation,
shorten holding periods,
hold fewer core stock positions,
focus on a few special situation profit opportunities.

....I rather envy the nimbleness of that approach...here I am..

lower than normal cash allocation..(increased this week, however).....
lengthened holding periods, believing we have a long ways to go in the commodity up cycle ...
holding more positions..(in the 25 range).....
everything I own appears to be a special profit opportunity..

Difficult for me to cut back on my thesis that energy issues will generally continue higher and those with Canadian base provide a currency hedge, though the "hedge" has been a drag so far this year, giving back some of last year's gains...As long as CanRoys are making new highs, do I get out..? Perhaps soon, as it looks like we're getting to a seasonal crest...new highs on the CanRoy index today....

The DXE made a new high yesterday though today's action on the fall in crude has completely reversed that positive and may be saying something in a not so quiet way...

The CRB is still above 285, though today's down is taking its toll and the chart pattern could quickly go negative...though its had many bouts with weakness establishing this trading range from which it has recovered.

I keep coming up with new ideas for cash. For example, WMC an Australian base metal producer with a good uranium piece...take over candidate, one bid already on the table..MSB an iron ore Royalty Trust yielding 8% with a high gearing to iron ore prices... I am holding off however because I realize there exists the potential of being late in the game and I do detect some signs of distribution creeping into some charts...

Ah well, the eternal quandary....what to do...Keep you eyes and ears open for one....
