Well, there's diversification... then there's DIVERSIFICATION.

Ask a financial planner if you want to know the difference.

(Hint: Treasury bonds and the S&P 500 still face currency risks, concentrated effects from mismanagement by the government, etc., etc.)

Look at the 1970's if you want an example.
