doesn't deserve defending The "doesn't deserve defending" argument is a little esoteric for my point of view. People say stuff like that, but they don't commit suicide. They just sit around and let others defend them, and sneer at their defenders for being dopes. Failing to defend yourself in an existential battle is tantamount to suicide. Watching passively while others defend your life in an existential battle is the classic example of "free rider" syndrome.
