Because he prefers to believe the fear mongering right wing press (that reports by WH press release talking points and occasionally gets paid to write articles favoring WH positions) that are safely at home in their DC or NY condo's, pontificating endlessly on and on about their expertise on the new Muslim menace. It's the current hysteria... the US can't go on for long without an abstract enemy. It's part of our nature. John
