And thus you make my point. Should the US not have had free elections because there was a potential for violence?
You cant avoid risk and yes an iraqi leader could go the way of Lincoln. But look at the legacy Lincoln left us. Would we or he have chosen any different route? Risky business tomorrow will be. Regardless of how we feel about the war itself, we should all be rooting for the good guys and those are all those running and all those able to vote and all those wishing they could vote, not the terrorists, not the fascist bastards who ruled that country for 30+ years using the stalinist model. Is there a Lincoln in their future?
