One more example that I bet you could find on the web is the one about the Greeks. They were notorious practicers of homosexuality and pedophilia. They actually had a practice where male children would sleep with an older man or patron as they were coming of age to learn the ropes. I had always thought that too........not that I got it from any written source.....just friends when growing up talking about those 'faggy' Greeks who wear skirts. However, the Greeks denied all that when the movie Alexander came out [Alexander is purported to have been gay]. They are claiming that the love between men back then was platonic, not sexual. Sounds like backpedaling to me but who knows. ted
