Terry, Re: But my gut level feeling is that the long scans do not do very well when the short-term market trend is down, and conversely, the short list doesn't do very well when the trend is up. I fully agree and that is why I always or at least sometimes make the statement, “trade with the trend”. Something to consider looking back at my comments on Thursday prior to the scans was that at first I said that I was not going to do a scan because of the spinning top that formed on the QQQQ on Thursday. That coupled with the traditional Friday sell-off made me wary of doing a scan. I did a scan of both long and short not having a clear picture of which way the market would run on Friday. It’s all Gush’s fault. Reid
