plus the original article that got "Republicans" fired up.
Kinda funny when any regular reader of Mike Hartman knows he is a Republican:

John Kerry Is On Meet The Press Today

_____________________________________

In his first television interview since the presidential election, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-MA) will appear live on "Meet the Press with Tim Russert" this Sunday, January 30, 2005.

The exclusive interview will cover a wide range of topics including the day's historic elections in Iraq, the senator's own trip to the region, his view on Bush's second term agenda, the Democratic Party, Social Security and his plans for his own political future.

Sen. Kerry's last "Meet the Press" appearance on April 18, 2004, came thirty-three years after his very first appearance on the program as a spokesman for Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Earlier in the campaign cycle, Sen. Kerry announced his intentions to run for the Presidential nomination on "Meet the Press" on December 1, 2002.

Plus, we will have the very latest on Sunday's elections in Iraq with NBC's Brian Williams live from Baghdad.

"Meet the Press" is regularly seen from 9-10 a.m. EST, except in Washington, D.C. where the broadcast is seen from 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET. Please check local listings or the "Meet the Press" Web site for airtimes in your area.

Do you have a question you'd like to ask this week's Meet the Press guest? Send your e-mail to askmtp@nbc.com.

Read this article from Robert Fisk, probably one of the few journalists in Iraq who actually goes around Iraq, instead of sitting in a hotel and forwarding military communiques as "news" and "news analysis".

informationclearinghouse.info

Fisk talks about the unintended consequences of this election handing power to the Shias in Iraq. Dumbya was specifically warned by those who opposed the war, about such unintended consequences before he got us stuck in Iraq.

A Canadian who signed himself as "John" wrote at Al-Jazeera.com:-

....... the election is a farce only to win support for the american president at home by selling the public the liberty and freedom speech. hopefully iraq will be able to become a soverign nation again and have control of there natural resources as soon as possible. if not nothing will change except having an american backed gov't in power due to this vote. i feel sorry for anyone who believes this is not a rigged election.. just look at afghanistan and the past two american elections.
