Since you grew up in the Midwest, you should have an advantage over the natives. You probably qualify as a Southern Ice Goddess. I think I was down there in 1992 and 1993. Maybe 1991 also. Around the time that Dave & Busters opened. It was their second restaurant. My first question to the waitress was, "Is this company public?" My ice storm was minor. I used to enjoy my trips down there, though I did try to avoid going in the middle of summer. A female southern accent is a real killer for us northern boys. Our knees get weak.
