In regard to Wmd's, it would most useful to have a few million service men stateside vaccinated against smallpox, plagues, anthrax,and equipped with anti-radiation pills (iodine?).

I agree it would be nice to have a few million servicemen, but we don't.

There is no doubt that military planners will have to adjust and create scenarios that take protection of our citizens into greater consideration. Become more flexible and emergency ready. I don't know the extent to which training might evolve, but I hope statisticians and every agency that should be involved is, and that coordination efforts are stressed.
