In most professions a call as bad as the one made by BS would result in ramifications within the firm. I mean, BS retail or fiduciary clients who read that research report only two days before earnings had to think the analyst was wired in to some pretty devastating information. They need to read between the lines and, sure, the analyst didn't say sell, sell, sell. But if they sold on the "analysis" or "opinion" (hint, hint), many would have done so at 21 bucks a share or so. Why would the analyst have gone to the trouble to issue such a statement just two days before earnings unless they were attempting to convey a very important message....one only they had the info on? Three days later the stock was at 25.....with a very bright future.

I imagine these clients have let BS know about it! Now, will this brilliant analyst who, history now shows, just made a WAG about the situation, suffer for such an error? Maybe his big bonus will be slightly reduced?
