Hi Magnatizer,
I pretty much stick to wood because it is abundant here..Coal would be an interesting option ( not that I can go out in my backyard and mine coal though<g>). Or a windmill, I have already gone through the permitting process to exceed the zoning restrictions on the height of the tower..Zoning requires structures to be no higher than 45 ft, I got a variance to install a 67 ft tower, but have put the project on the back burner for now..DD

Of course I do now have a propane wall mounted furnace for backup,which I really like..And the damn thing is efficient..I prebought 400 gal of propane @ $1.72 gal, still have a credit of 300 gal (have only used 100gal)..I saw on my last statement that propane is now selling for $2.97/gal...definitely pays to pre-buy..
