orkrious,
An interesting note. On new FHA insured mortgages there will be no MIP refund for paying the loan off early in the 1st 7 years. As of about Dec. 8, 2004 for newly originated loans. They must be using up their insurance pool to cover defaults.

Those charts look nasty, no question about it. There may be some good shorts in that bunch, on a failed rally.

has anyone noticed the insurers of the credit bubble? they aren't looking too healthy

Yes indeed - I'm presently short MBI & MTG and have the other three on my radar screen - can't fathom much upside risk in them

Insurers of the credit bubble: I've got underwater LEAP puts on all of these. Maybe I'll break even if they drop 15%.

Look for the quarterly report on top 50 market risk index by PMI to be out in a few weeks. Seems the 2005 estimates are slowly being taken down already.
