I hope you will take this the right way, since I really enjoy reading you, and your thread. I think positive and negative are in the eye of the beholder. I suspect RD would suggest that people here are as negative as you think he is (in posts to me he has told me that he thinks about me EXACTLY the way I think about him, which is kind of amusing to me, once you get past the partisan issue). It is better not to try to analyze people who one does not agree with in terms of what kind of people they may be, all we have are the posts, and it's hard to tell how fully they represent the person. I think it is impossible to analyze people one does not know, and it is even more impossible to fairly analyze people one dislikes (and whom we dislike only on the basis of their posts). That doesn't mean you can't have lucky hits, and cut people to the quick- I would never say you can't do that (having had some spectacular successes in that department myself, I could never dismiss it as ineffective)- but I'm not sure I see the point in doing that, and where it gets you even if you are effective at it, and I'm pretty sure Grainne doesn't want anyone doing that here. Just my opinion.
