<<Keep all the non-winning tickets. In case you get a winner, the losers are tax deductible against the winners.>>

Last year a coffee shop guy hit $6 large on a slot. He got big on wanting to go threezies on the $3 scratch offs and he kept the losers. Buck in for a $3 deduct. He picked them up off the tables too. Kind of pissed me off he was ripping off other tax payers. So ...

I had a losing draw type ticket for a $6 million pay out. I told the coffee server if Red Jim came up with a regular ticket, run it through the scanner and tell him it's worth $6 million. I asked Red Jim if he wanted my buck ticket and he jumped for it. Ixnay, I haven't checked it, it will cost you a buck. Got the standard one finger salute. So when he had a few scratch offs to get checked I gave him my ticket and asked him to have it checked. Kid says $6 million and Red liked to have appoloxy and fits. He didn't know whether to run with the ticket or go blind. The kid didn't want to call the rescue squad so he 'fessed up. I got the ticket back and found out I was a dirty son of a bitch.
