Voter after voter interviewed yesterday said how under Saddam the ballot would be pre-marked with an X beside Saddam's name. That accounts for his 100% victories.

Wonder why our media didn't report that until now...

There was a belief in Iraq that if you didn't vote you wouldn't get food rations anymore.

In essense the election was a referendum on eating.
