Iraqi people have only taken first step. Voting is important but in order to win, they must take arms against zarquawi and the baathists. Hopefully the voting will energize the young away from martyrdom and toward making a difference in this life. And true nationalists who want us out can join new regime in insisting on clear dates for departure. Shiaa and Kurds are free of sunni rule even if there is a three state solution in the end. Real test is among sunnis who should not want to become a terror/baath rump state version of afganistan. And olive brances from the shiaa and kurds may go a long way here.
