Oh, 90%! That's a bad trend. Hmmmm. Contrary to popular mythology, there's no reason why a bug shouldn't kill 99.99% of people. Sure, that reduces the carrying population, but bugs just do what they do. Some bugs might well kill off their host population. They neither read press reports nor maximize their reproductive success other than by good luck, which includes, usually, bad luck. 99.999999999999999% of attempts will fail. Being part of the failure by being a poor viral carrier is not exactly great news for people.
