You buy it (or find it) and I'd read it. But I might be depressed following the reading. I know quite a bit about societies that have failed, and I don't think any of them see the writing on the wall, or at the minimum, make a social contract with their fellows to ignore the warnings. There certainly is a choice to it, IMO. If people follow their beliefs and not the empirical evidence of their actions, it's no wonder whole societies can find themselves circling the drain.
