Scoot,

He was so nice.

We didn't want to bother him so we kept the pictures to a
minimum.

But he knew just what to do as if he had done it a million
times.

He would bring his two fists up near his chin and smile a
perfect grin while wearing a nice Irish cap that I haven't
seen since the 80's. Looked like John Wayne in The Quiet Man.

Funny thing was that one of the fathers in a our group was
NOT a science buff. He's a tough sorta guy from the Bronx
trapped inside this museum. He feels comfortable with me since
he's a carpenter and I'm an electrician. Anyway, it turns out
he's a big boxing buff. He was the one who recognized Cooney.
He said, "Here I am, with all this scientific stuff wasted on
me, and I discover Gerry Cooney who walked through this
nerd-fest not having to sign a single autograph until I find
him. And I end up with the biggest thrill of everyone here.

It was funny. The dude was so happy to have his picture taken
with him. Cooney would have probably went the whole weekend
as a just a regular joe is it wasn't for him.
