Stretched to the limit but something we needed to do after boom and bust, 9/11 and perceived iraqi threat. You can argue about each item but if you believe in the severity of the bust, the threat of 9/11, and the transforming nature of what we attempted in iraq then you would be willing to spend the bucks. You opposition is to the iraq war--if the three things i listed was a coming depression, 9/11 and avian flu for instance, you would be saying deficit was worthwhile. It all depends on whose ox is being gored. And speaking of gore, he was a defit spender long before he was VP. mike
