Actually, normally the high 5 percent area is not bad... it's just that when the quality of the jobs are down and there are a lot of long-term unemployed, it's bad. Its bad because we started from a much lower level. Plus, its the poorest people who are unemployed......for many, they got their first jobs when Clinton was in office. The Clinton administration raised the bar. Bush can't follow suit and its the poorest Americans who are paying the price. ted
